THE LAST PUFFIN HUNTERS
The Puffin is disappearing ” says an old man. He has been hunting Puffins for 60 years but now it seems that many centuries of tradition has come to an end. In the Island of Vestmannaeyjar puffin hunting is as close to the culture as summer after spring. In the high cliffs islands, puffin hunter´s wait patiently after the bird. When in range, the hunter pull´s up his net and moment´s later the bird is dead. Soon to be a delicates on the tables of the islanders.
